Hi my name is Andrew Jones I'm 29 years old and live in Camden, London with my wife. I have been riding motorbikes for 13 years and have now decided to try my hand at racing working on my favourite saying "How hard can it be".
I got my first motorbike (well moped) at 16 after having grown up around bike. My father passed on his passion for bikes to me and my brother also teaching us how to ride and fix our bikes.
Over the years I have owned and ridden lots of bikes and had many interesting experiences like; riding a 50cc Puch Maxi across Dartmoor, having a tank slapper on a GS450E and getting airlifted to Exeter hospital, getting my knee down 2 up on a Daytona 900 and racing a Porsche GT3 on my TT600 round the Nurburgring.
I work in Railway Signalling engineering for a Plymouth based company called MGB Signalling but I am currently on secondment as a Project Manager for Network Rail. I enjoy my job and have been fortunate enough to be sent all over the world having worked in Australia, Thailand, Germany and the Netherlands.
I'm a bit of an adrenaline junky and have enjoyed both bungee jumping and skydiving though my other big passion in life is Rugby and particularly playing as an open-side flanker. For the last 5 years I have been a member and regular first team player for Plymouth Argaum RFC culminating in me taking the position of First XV captain for the 2008/2009 season.
Having never tried racing I am hoping that my experiences riding in the fast group on track days as well as my numerous trips to the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife will stand me in good stead for my rookie season.
