Still recovering from my injuries Brands Hatch would be my second missed round following my Cadwell accident. It was at this time though that I decided I would definitely be entering the last round of the season at Snetterton and therefore had to use this time to get the new fairing painted.
Not having the money or inclination to get the race fairing professionally painted I decided I would attempt a DIY paint job with spray cans. After some brief online research the way forward was clear:
1) Strip all stickers off fairing
2) Rub down with wet and dry
3) Clean
4) At least 2 layers of primer
5) At least 3 layers of paint
Unfortunately the red spray paint I bought was not as good a match as I'd hoped to the Suzuki candy red paint but I was still quite pleased with the end results.
