Whilst I started making a quick recovery after my Cadwell crash I was not ready for the Silverstone round.  However, I was fit enough to start repairing the bike.

After a full inspection I found the damage to the bike was limited to:

     1) Nose cone broken - not an issue as I'd been given a fairing by a mate (THANKS TOM SCHEVING)

     2) Rev counter smashed - new one quickly purchased online

     3) Seat unit damaged - brand new spare unit came with the bike

     4) Brake lever broken

     5) Rear sub-frame badly bent -fortunately a spare sub-frame came with the bike.

I quickly set about repairing the bike staring at the front and working back.

I stripped the nose cone, rev counter and replaced the broken brake lever.  I purchased and fitted a new rev counter (only noticing too late that I'd been sent the 8000rpm model and not the 15,000rpm model I needed).

The rear sub-frmae was a bit harder to repair with the ECU, Regulator/rectifier and battery all needing to be mounted in the new sub-frame.  The new seat unit I got with the bike also had to be drilled to fit the sub-frame, a new exhaust bracket had to be made and seat foam had to be cut and fitted to the seat unit.  Whilst not complicated all of these are fiddly jobs that require careful measuring up to make sure everything fits.

After this and as the bike had been upside down I carried out an oil and filter change and drained and refilled the coolant and radiator (with water only remember as this is a race bike).  These jobs were important to check that the water and oil hadn't mixed at all and that no major engine damage had occurred.

My final job was to start making up fairing brackets (using flat lengths of stainless steel  strips purchased from the local hardware shop).  To mount the fairing I also had to purchase and fit an SV650S top yoke as the N model yoke fitted to the bike caused the clip-ons to foul the fairing.  The results of all this hard work can be seen below.

Not too bad and in my opinion the bike came off a lot better than me!!
